A day in the life of… Kobi Lehrer, Chief Strategy Officer.
Get woken up by child three, take him downstairs to avoid waking the other kids up, give him breakfast and put Spider-Man on the tv for him. I will then check my emails for the first time.
I will then go get a workout in and go to the gym.
I drive to the office and eat the lovely breakfast provided by our chef. I then look at my meetings for that day and write my plan of action, so I can then prep for the day ahead.
Inevitably my plans are out the window and I then react to whatever needs attention.
How can I be this hungry before noon?
Finally. Lunch!
How can I be this hungry so soon after lunch?
I'll finish off any work that needs to be done and then will head home, picking up child three from nursery on the way.
Once I get home I'll cook dinner with my wife. We get Gousto delivered for three dinners a week which means I cook once or twice a week (only if I follow strict instructions).
Relax and watch TV, I am currently binging Ted Lasso!
Time to sleep and do it all over again!
TAB's quick fire questions
How long have you worked at TAB?
I have worked at TAB for three years. Before TAB, I co-founded a property fintech business where I worked for five years and before that I was a solicitor for over ten years in the City. I graduated from Manchester University with a BA in Philosophy and Politics.
What does your role at TAB involve?
I am always trying to balance my time between trying to ensure the business runs as smoothly as possible while also considering the direction of the business through devising and implementing strategy. My main areas of focus are operations, legal and risk as well as concentrating on fundraising. Unsurprisingly that means my days are incredibly varied and often full of meetings for different areas of the business. From an internal perspective; marketing to product design to HR to tech chats. While externally I might be speaking to prospective or existing funders or lawyers or corporate advisers or I might be networking. The one constant throughout is trying to optimise efficiency across the business.
What’s the best thing about working at TAB?
The best things about working for TAB are the people, the variety and the culture. It feels like everybody is moving in the same direction with the business and contributing to its continuing success. It’s a buzzy, fun place to work, it’s never calm or quiet and there is always an interesting challenge to overcome. Sometimes it can feel like there are one too many plates spinning but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Impossible to give just one answer. Lauryn Hill, Rolling Stones, Amy Winehouse, Oasis, D’Angelo, Coldplay, Teskey Brothers, Tom Misch, Melody Gardot and Stevie Wonder.
